About the Exhibition Mr.Hikonobu Ise, chairman of Ise Group Inc. is known as an excellent art collector. This exhibition is featuring wide range of Chinese Ceramic masterpieces from ancient China to Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty selected from his collection. Even though the collection has been highly evaluated nationally as well as internationally by its quality, most of the works haven't been seen in public until now. Showing such a diverse and superb "dream collection" of Chinese Ceramics in one assemblage is rare and unique opportunity in Japan and many motivated viewers are expected.
Because Chinese Ceramic influenced upon old "Kutani" pottery in Ishikawa prefecture deeply, this exhibition is a meaningful event to find out one of the roots of art and craft of Ishikawa. It will also be a great leaning chance for local people who are in the traditional art and craft industry as well as for art lovers. Furthermore, because Chinese Ceramic has huge meaning in the world of Tea ceremony and flower arrangement, the exhibition may attract the related people.
